From the corner of his eye he watches Gutwrench's attempt to nobly protect his companions in the midst of battle. His heart swells with pride, fighting among such brave adventurers. Motivated to save his companions further pain Avien brings his axe whistling downwards, capitalizing on the Dragonshields momentary lapse of balance as it nimbly dodges away from Carric. A sense of well being overwhelms him as his battle lust and compassionate motives please his goddess. The god-light envelopes his form, while Avien simultaneously whispers his thanks and asks the boon of healing his injured companion. Laying his shield hand on Gutwrench's shoulder, he propels a sense of well-being and protection onto his deranged friend, willing several of the gnomes wounds closed with his Goddess's blessing. Turning back to the creature that he's gleefully been ruining his axe's blade upon, he roars, his multi-toned voice echoing with Draconian pride as he hunts his prey.

Looking around the battlefield Alzor is pleased to see all his companions are in decent shape still. Alzor then takes a couple steps back and unleashes a magical bolt at the minion closest to himself.

Annoyed at Xaviers ability to avoid his attacks the kobold skirmisher rushed through the woods, seeking a new target. As he came out of the forest he sees Avien, standing in the magic circle, the air around him crackling with Diving energy. With a snicker the kobold sneaks into position to deliver a brutal strike. However, gifted with insight of his goddess Avien moves swiftly at the kobolds approach, blocking his attack with his shield.

With a howl of pain, and rage the bleeding, and immolated Carric stabs down at the nearest enemy, impaling one of the kobold minions. An adversary dead, and the flames dying out, Carric collects himself, and draws on nature to heal some of his more life-threatening wounds.

Xavier looked at the wealth of targets before him and smiled. His eyes stopped on the pesky dragonshield in the middle of the fray and sent a shuriken flying at it. The kobold spotted the attack and managed to block the shuriken with his shield. He lowered it to laugh the halfling's puny metal star but hadn't seen the dagger following the first attack. The dagger dug deep into the kobold's eye, causing him to drop his shield and slump to the ground.

Over the course of only a few seconds, the tide of the battle turned. With the loss of the dragonshield the kobolds turned from gleeful fighting, to fighting for their very survival. The smallest kobolds struck out visciouly hoping to fell our heroes before they are destroyed. With renewed focus they drove forward, woudning both Gutwrench and Carric under their viscous assault.

In a rare moment of clarity, Gutwrench realizes the kobolds are approaching him from his left side, a fact he was oblivious to moments ago. Feeling the magical energy crackling through his current location, he decided he'd rather have his enemies leave him than vacate the premises. Acting accordingly, he summons enormous spectral claws to push his enemies back.

The tiny kobold minion drops to the ground, covering his head before popping back up and turning to look for his ally. The skirmisher was not so quick, however and the claws slammed him backwards, leaving the minion all alone in front of both Avien and Gutwrench.

As the Skirmisher gets slammed just beyond his reach, Avien deftly turns on his heels, bringing his axe to bear upon the slow minion standing next to Gutwrench, splitting it like a ripe log.

Alzor feeling a bit safer with no enemies in his immediate area looks around to see only a few of the Kobolds are left standing. Wanting you contribute more than just pegging of the little minions, Alzor fires an acidic spell toward the Kobold hanging off to the side of the battle. But Alzor finds himself distracted by how awesome his hands look when casting magic and misses the kobold.

With a Cry the remaining kobolds begin to flee north, thorugh the thickets of light forest. Their desire to fight completly drained as the certainty of failure and death loom before them.
Players who wish to take potshots at the fleeing kobolds may do so.

As the kobolds run away in a panic, Alzor fires a bolt of magic into the back of the last of the minions bringing it down.

Xavier hurls his dagger at the fleeing slinger and hits it solidly in the back, taking it down.
